About Us

I am Amy.  Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Friend, Photographer.  I have lived almost my entire life in Eastern Oregon, and I don’t plan on leaving any time soon.  I love it here.  I have three daughters, and at times I feel like I am drowning in emotions, drama, and “girl” stuff – thus the title, “Swimming in a Sea of Estrogen”.  There is a lot of it around here, and for the most part it’s smooth sailing.

My daughters, Emma, Harley, and Reagan range in age from 17-9, and they are the center of my family.  They are spirited, loving, independent, opinionated, compassionate, and sweet.

We are blessed.

  3. Hello Amy,

It is nice see some East Oregon (and Irrigon) presence on the web! Nice work on your blog.
I maintain the websites for the City of Irrigon (cityofirrigon.org)and the Irrigon Chamber of Commerce(irrigonchamber.org). I would like your permission to use your photo of Rosario Rios (20090222-009.jpg) on the city and chamber websites so that we can congratulate him publicly for his Oregon State High School Wrestling Championship. I spoke to Rosario and the high school principal at yesterday’s Chamber Luncheon so they know that I am going to post the message on the websites but they didn’t have a photo handy to use.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Dave Wood

  5. Thanks for the SaneMoms love and link! Appreciate it :) .
Ah, estrogen, it’s in short supply around here with all boys, I can’t imagine being in the majority in my own house! Beautiful family :) .
    Cheers,
    Bethany

  6. Thanks for listing me as a blog you love :) You brought a big smile to my face when I saw that today – thank you!! Giving your daughters a sister (or 3 sisters!) is the best gift – I am living with my sister this year and she brings more happiness into my life than I can express.

    Thanks for your support
    xoxo,
    Erin

Hi Amy. I was browsing and here was my golf buddy! I miss our golf, but I played today in the cold. Hope finals are going well.

  8. I miss my golf buddy, too! We need to have coffee soon, if not play a round! ;-)

  11. Your daughters are beautiful (and they sound like beautiful people on the inside too, the best kind!). Feel free to visit my blog, the photo for your Dear Daughter post caught my attention. Again, broken record I know, but beautiful, really.

  12. Thank you, they are wonderful!
