Lace Overlay & Slippery Fabric – November & December TSNEM

Lace Overlay & Slippery Fabric - November & December TSNEM

I ran across Stephanie’s and Rebecca’s co-hosted project, Try Something New Every Month (TSNEM) for 2016, last December.  I decided to participate because there are a lot of sewing techniques I have never tried but would like to.  You can read my original post talking about the project HERE.  The post that lists what projects I’m going to try each month can be read HERE.  This post covers both my November and December TSNEM projects.  November’s project was to make something with a lace overlay.  For December, I wanted to try slippery fabric – anything that is difficult to keep together when sewing.

My August and September projects are both in process and will be finished some time during next year’s list.

To say I am a little behind on my TSNEM projects is a bit of an understatement.  August and September are both in process and will be finished soon (hopefully).  I decided rather than stressing myself out about getting all three done before the end of the moth, I would start with October and work backwards.

2016 Quarter Four Finish-A-Long Projects

2016 Quarter Four Finish-A-Long Projects

At the beginning of the year, I wrote a post about my sewing and project goals, one of which was to Organize and Prioritize Sewing Projects.  I have done pretty well sticking with my goal, but I do have to admit that I have added several new projects to my list instead of finishing the ones I have already started.  I don’t feel too badly about that, though, because I have actually finished a lot more so far this year than I ever expected.  Read on for my list of 2016 Quarter Four Finish-A-Long Projects.
